yea it was like 14 bucks(US) for a 30 pack I think. At least that was what my friend told me so he could have been lying. it was cheaper than natty light at least.

The true champion of alcoholic drinks is Tennants. Pretty sure one of our unions sells the most Tennants in the world.

Keystone Light got me through much of my four years at college/university. When I moved onto graduate school though, the town I lived in was a bit of a hipster enclave, so Pabst Blue Ribbon was the inexpensive beer of choice. I'd pay the extra dollar or so for a pitcher of Miller Lite instead, because as terrible as that was, PBR always ravaged my body without remorse and I'd feel hung over without even getting drunk.
I suppose the long and the short of it is, you'll have lots of fun things to do when not studying.

What are these "boat races?" Based on the name, I'd assume it's the same as Flippy Cup.

Ah, so it is basically the same. Our Flippy Cup entails you drinking your beer, putting the cup back down upside down, and you have to flick the thing back right-side up.
Has Beer Pong crossed the Ocean yet? Because that is the best - especially the house rules my friends and I played it under.

Fully agreed that dissertations are a pain. I'm in the final revision stages of mine and defending in May.
And, for added fun, I've got a book review that should be published sometime in the summer or early fall.
