Hello guys.
I am an old member here, however this is my first contribution, having until now just watched, read and enjoyed the likes of Severous and Subrosa.
The ideea of an AAR struck me while I was finishing the second turn on this campaign,so you will have to excuse the miss of the first turn. Not much happened however,I just took the settlement to the north.(Batavodrum?)
More updates will follow as I go along. So,let's get this show underway.Vanilla RTW,Hard/Hard settings
Here are teritories at the start of the second turn. Please excuse the first few pictures as I use f1 to take ss and forgot to change its keybind.
I am already in debt, time to get out there and start conquering. In the west my arms besieges Alesia.
The Gauls sally,with reinforcements.
Forgot to ss the battle odds, they were against me anyway,as they had 2 generals. Here you see the german army deployed on the upmost hill.
The Gauls made the mystake of wanting to go around my flank,so my general and my barbarian cavalry squashed them from the side. Here the druids pray to their god for help.No use
Ironically, the general is the sole survivor, and he actually manages to escape. After this battle I bet he built a shrine to Teutatis as thanks.
The Gauls reinforcements composed of their faction leader Brennus and some warbands charged and caught me by surprise,so only one screenshot,of the warbands routing.Watch carefully that pile of horse bodies and you might recognize Brennus
.Heroic Victory.Not bad for starters.
I have now fixed the f1 problem so will be able to deliver ss of better quality.More will follow tommorow.Bye
