The two armies converge on the two ends of a bridge, the only way to connect the two banks of the river, and enable to the two armies to collide. The orders are given. Now, it is only a matter of time until the two armies clash on eachother... The aftermath of this move was the elimination of nearly half of the Roman legion. The next move was to catch the advancing Velites, by crossing the bridge. Quickly eliminated by either getting chopped or thrown in the water, the Velites banners retreated out of the bridge, as the Principes and the Triarii were making maneouvres in order to crush the Carthaginian-Iberial army before they could reach the end of the bridge. Despite their dreadful charge, the Principes were pushed back, almost smashing upon the Triarii. The two lines were mixed and in the absolute confusion and panic, Flavius Sempronius lost his life. This was only the excuse needed by the remaining Legionaries to flee. [This message has been edited by X2Z (edited 11-03-2004 @ 01:45 PM).]

Take a look where you live, this is America
And we are Americans.
