On Hard/Hard mode.... I was playing as the Selucid Empire and was conquering northern italy. My army of 418 horsemen consisted of 1 General, 8 star command, 5 Cataphracts, 2 Armoured Elephants, and 3 Companion Cavalry. Only my Elephant units were complete, as this was the 3rd battle I was fighting this turn. My General and companion cavalry had silver chevrons (4-6 exp), My elephants had bronze chevrons (3 exp), and my Cataphracts all had gold chevrons (7+ exp). All my troops had +3 (gold) upgrades to their weapons and armour. I was facing 2 Roman Brutii armies (post-Marian of course), all balanced consisting of many cavalry, archer auxilia, and auxilia units, along with some pretorians, legionaries, and light auxilia units. The armies were led by a 4 star and a 2 star general (exp and upgrades unknown). They had 1856 troops in total. I used my elephants to charge the first army, and flanked with my cataphracts and then completely encircled them with my general and companion cavalry. they routed within 10 seconds. The second army sent their general charging in front of the main army, so I ran him into the ground right away, lined up, then charged the second army. Because of the loss of their general and my elephants, they routed fairly quickly. The battle was over in less than 5 minutes (including the time I spent chasing the routers around). I wiped out all enemy soldiers before they could leave the map. I lost ONLY 1 UNIT to this battle. (2 casualties, 1 was healed after the battle)- Just a reminder that even if you are badly outnumbered, it means nothing if your troops are superior and you use them properly
