Recently I just playing Shogun 2 total war multiplayer, a rank 10 guy told me that, rank 10 general cost 4200 (fully melee skills) is that true? He say increase body guard squad size increase the price by 600. I'm 1 point away from Increase squad size would hate getting extra 6 mens for 600 gold.
not again...

I do not know, I have not gotten that far yet.
I guess it is so experienced players will get less money for the army than lower-level generals. So a beginner may be able to get an extra Katana Samurai than the enemy and stand a chance.
It does suck though...

While I agree with making the general's unit more expensive as he gets more powerful, 4200 koku for a few horses sounds like a lot of money to me. Even on a 15,000 limit, that's almost a third of your total budget and I'm not sure if it's worth it.

I have a question about avatar skill, leader ship, bow and sword which one is the best?
I currently using the sword skills tree, having spent point in increase avatarbody guard size, i find it to be inferior to leader ship skills, who give us some kind of morale nerf. My samurai seem to run before his ashigaru so what is you guy opinion? I'm thinking of changing my tree to leader ship.
"and about the cost, that guy troll, i have avatar body guard upgrade and my guy cost 1400, apprently a full ranked 10 will cost 1800"
not again...

I wouldn't say one branch is necessarily the best. They all have their advantages and disadvantages and which one you prefer is a matter of personal preference. Myself I've spent all points on leadership, since leading the army is the general's main job. Also, these skill points will affect all your units while the fighting skills will only affect one. On the other hand, if you like to use your general aggressively, you might be better of spending points on melee skills.
What about you guys? Where do you specialize your avatar in?
